REMEMBERING CHRISTMAS CANON

It is such a beautiful time of year, so much hope and we are expecting so many new experiences of this Season that we  look forward to.  It also  is a time to reconnect with the past. Old friends are just a call away. I also  always visited graves this time of year, every year I would be lost in a cemetery trying to find the graves and I would eventually find the graves and it made feel so good to be able to stand there and offer up a special prayer to them in Heaven. I offered up all the laps around the cemetery , I would say forget it ! Lol and then I would look at my little tiny Xmas tree’s on the passenger seat and press on. Knowing my personality and nature Ernie, Betty and Al must have been laughing at me. They were  at two different graves sites in Cambridge. I love them and I missed/ miss them and they were bricks in my foundation. I will write about them what wonderful lives and role models they were.

P.S. Once I get back on the road I will be back to those graves to make a visit 🙂 I know that they are not there, their bodies are but they are not but for me it is my sacrifice of time and self  as a tribute to who they were. I love them. 🙂 And, I will see them again.  Amen.

Miracles are happening every second of every day. Amen.

 

Living well despite the hand you have been dealt is not always easy but it can be done. The following links below are incredible testimonies of people who are living with difficult situations but God has shown them Victory through the Holy Spirit. But they  needed to personally accept their situation and find God amidst that  storm.

My story is small by comparison to the incredibly beautiful people below on these links.

What these stories did for me was to confirm once again that we are all the same in God’s eye . Just listen to their stories and you will see and hear.

The Story Of Redemption

The Advent Season/ Christmas Season’s are the story of light, redemption and hope. I have written so much about the gift of the Holy Spirit. In my estimation that is God’s biggest gift to us for use in our daily lives. Jesus Christ makes the old New, he makes the dead become the redeemed.

I remember growing up and worrying about what  I am  going to do when I get older? How will I pay for everything. Knowing that the day would come for me to stand on my own in this world.

What I have come to realize in time and by its truth in my life is that I was never alone . God was always with me and as I grew and I awoke to the realization that I had the supreme gift of the Holy Spirit to walk with me on this journey through life , my life took on a new broader dimension. God’s presence could now be better demonstrated through me to help others. I became a sincere witness to what God can do. God took me a sinner in so many ways and directed me to the path less traveled. God gave me so many gifts, my faith, family, friends, my pets, everything.

God, then gave me the gift of creating and working in a family business a successful one too.

God gave me an awesome wife , 5 beautiful children one of which is an angel in Heaven watching over me.

With all of my gifts comes life’s curve balls too. So, like you , some have come my way too. The economy went soft after Sept 11th 2001. It lead to my business slowing and eventually it was closed down by my siblings and myself.  I was then  busy building a new brand and start up as a  sole proprietorship and was working a second job to keep things afloat and then boom!   along came brain cancer.

You would think that it was curtains for me wouldn’t you ? But no! Because of the Holy Spirit that I have relied on he was able to minister to me and direct me with prayer to my God. During my prayer I was directed to ask God for things that I would never presume to be worthy of.

Because of the Holy Spirit, my friend , God was able to Speak to me the day of my diagnosis so I could proclaim God’s good news for me and us that I had cancer, Cancer is not from God and I did not own it. Then God’s peace fell upon me like a warm blanket that gave me such comfort.

So, in closing we are all invited into the mystery and excitement of this Advent Season. We should be looking at this season like a child does waiting for a gift that God has in store for us. In the darkness there is God. And for humanity we are his light to this world.

GOD see’ s our imperfection and knows all yet he also see’ s the heart and knows who we can grow to become. So, dare to aspire to be your best and desire to inspire all that you may meet. Be a blessing everywhere. Now that’s really what Christmas is about for all of us living  in this world. 🙂
