As I have been writing about the fact that God gives us all such incredible gifts that vary from person to person. Some of the gifts that people have can make us shake our heads.

Last week I saw that Discovery channel was having a live event from Chicago  called Skyscraper Live with Nik Wallenda  a high wire walker.

I recorded it but watched it later because I was anxious and did not want to see if he fell. I saw his grandfather fall to his death when I was kid.

He made it across the wire. The wire was 600′ feet above the pavement and he was  blindfolded with not safety harness etc.

What struck me is this, He believes that God gave him this gift to inspire others and all glory goes to God.

I would suggest you look up his amazing journey, I am sure the library has DvDs too, I know he crossed the Grand Canyon last year and Niagra Falls as well.

God has given him peace to do this and an ability that few have. But he still had to have that faith and trust to step on out on to that wire.  Quite a witness to me. Something , that I could never do.

A better song, I could not imagine for Mr.Nic Wallander and his walk in faith onto a thin wire.

A beautiful, beautiful song.

Solitude and Serenity in Prayer

I am directed once again through my prayer to say that we need to get quiet and listen for God’s voice and direction during prayer. We need to learn to be at peace in the quiet. It is a discipline that we learn and it takes a little practice. But practice makes perfect. Eventually even the small noises  that are present fades until you can hear what is going on in your head, words scroll through your brain and thoughts that are so alive and are meant for action are placed before us by God through the Holy Spirit.

Everyone of us is capable of a successful prayer life from the Pope to a small child. It is up to you to desire it. What we achieve in this life is limitless when be believe in ourselves not because we are great, but because Our God created us with the ability to communicate directly with him through the Holy Spirit to attain the gifts that are needed to reach our goals.

The one thing that I really have come to understand myself is this. God is not a God that worries  about us winning a lottery. What God wants us to desire in my mind is this…

God wants us to rely on him and to keep it simple. When we are in prayer we should be looking for things that will bring us closer to our God or will allow us to help others more. God already knows what we want so I do not ask. I figure if he thinks it’s a good thing for me or that I would be a good steward of that thing that he may allow it to happen.

God also wants us to rely on him to give us what we need and what is the best for us. Winning the lottery for example is not always the best thing for all of us. It could destroy many. But for the few that could handle it and remain who they are in Christ. They would be able to Bless so many. I heard of a regular guy recently that won a huge lottery and gave it all to charity. He said that his needs were met by God and he did not want it to effect his family.

When you as a parent are trying to talk to a child who is distracted and not listending whether it be because of tv, radio, video games whatever, don’t you find it annoying! Especially when you are trying to direct your child on a straight path where there is safety and security, and they are just too busy, there is too much noise etc.

By not shutting down the noise we are ignoring God. If you say God does not hear and answer my prayers it could be because of all of the constant music and the distractions of life is drowning out his voice.

Everything today is instant, a text message can travel the globe in 1 second. I had to learn to silence and shut down the technology before I begin my prayer. Otherwise we become distracted by it.

God deserves better, and we only get the best from our Father when we love, respect and listen to him. Amen.

Word Of God Speak  Mercy

So this upcoming  Advent/ Christmas Season look for the opportunity to devote yourself to more prayer time . I tell my kids all the time when you get into the car don’t just put on the radio . Give the ride to work to God. I use to do that a whole lot myself. It is very peaceful.

Mercy Me God With Us.

God Bless You,

Danny

Brittany Maynard, who became the public face of the controversial right-to-die movement over the last few weeks, ended her own life Saturday at her home in Portland, Oregon. She was 29.”Goodbye to all my dear friends and family that I love. Today is the day I have chosen to pass away with dignity in the face of my terminal illness, this terrible brain cancer that has taken so much from me … but would have taken so much more,” she wrote on Facebook. “The world is a beautiful place, travel has been my greatest teacher, my close friends and folks are the greatest givers. I even have a ring of support around my bed as I type … Goodbye world. Spread good energy. Pay it forward!”Doctors told Maynard she had six months to live last spring after she was diagnosed with a likely stage 4 glioblastoma. She made headlines around the world when she announced she intended to die – under Oregon’s Death with Dignity Act – by taking a fatal dose of barbiturates, prescribed to her by a doctor, when her suffering became too great.

“My glioblastoma is going to kill me and that’s out of my control,” she told PEOPLE last month. “I’ve discussed with many experts how I would die from it and it’s a terrible, terrible way to die. So being able to choose to go with dignity is less terrifying.”

On Oct. 6, she launched an online video campaign with Compassion & Choices, an end-of-life choice advocacy organization, to fight for expanding death-with-dignity laws nationwide.

“For people to argue against this choice for sick people really seems evil to me,” she told PEOPLE. “They try to mix it up with suicide and that’s really unfair, because there’s not a single part of me that wants to die. But I am dying.”

A Heartbreaking Choice

Arriving at her decision was a gradual one, she said.

“It’s not a decision you make one day and you snap your fingers,” she told PEOPLE.

She said she began thinking about death with dignity in January – when she was first diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor – after coming across an article on it while researching possible treatments.

RELATED: PHOTOS: Brittany Maynard’s Life and Legacy

“Really, from the beginning, all the doctors said when you have a glioma you’re going to die,” she told PEOPLE. “You can just Google it. People don’t survive this disease. Not yet.”

Doctors removed as much of the tumor as they could, but it came back larger than ever two months later, she said.

After researching her options, she decided not to try chemotherapy or radiation.

“They didn’t seem to make sense for me,” she said, because of “the level of side effects I would suffer and it wouldn’t save my life. I’ve been told pretty much no matter what, I’m going to die – and treatments would extend my life but affect the quality pretty negatively.”

In June, she moved to Oregon with her husband, Dan Diaz, 43, her mother, Debbie Ziegler, 56 , and her stepfather, Gary Holmes, 72, so she could have access to the state’s Death with Dignity Act, which allows physicians to prescribe life-ending medication to certain terminally ill patients.

Maynard originally told PEOPLE she’d chosen Nov. 1 to end her life, but on Thursday she released a new video saying she might not do it that day.

“I still smile and laugh with my family and friends enough that it doesn’t seem like the right time now,” she said in the video recorded Oct. 13 and 14, “but it will come because I feel myself getting sicker; it’s happening each week.”

Her Final Months

Maynard spent the last months of her life making the most of the time she had left. She traveled to Alaska, British Columbia and Yellowstone National Park with her loved ones and explored more local attractions like Olympic National Park in Washington.

On Oct. 21, she and her family took a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon, a place she’d been longing to see before she died.

“It was breathtakingly beautiful,” she said in a statement.

The following morning, though, she had her “worst seizure” so far, she said: “The seizure was a harsh reminder that my symptoms continue to worsen as the tumor runs its course.”

Maynard said she was deeply touched by the “outpouring of support” she got after going public with her diagnosis and her decision.

“I want to thank people for that, for the words of kindness, for the time they’ve taken in personal ways,” she told PEOPLE.

“And then beyond that, to encourage people to make a difference,” she said. “If they can relate to my story, if they agree with this issue on a philosophical level, to get out there and do what we need to do to make a change in this country.”

Maynard also talked to PEOPLE about her legacy.

“For me what matters most is the way I’m remembered by my family and my husband as a good woman who did my best to be a good wife and a good daughter,” she said.

“Beyond that, getting involved with this campaign, I hope to be making a difference here,” she said. “If I’m leaving a legacy, it’s to change this health-care policy or be a part of this change of this health-care policy so it becomes available to all Americans. That would be an enormous contribution to make, even if I’m just a piece of it.”

Before she died, Maynard asked her husband and her mother if they would carry on the work she started to get death with dignity passed in every state.

“I want to work on the cause,” Ziegler told PEOPLE last month. “I have so much admiration for people who are terminally ill and just fight and fight. They are so dignified and brave. This is a different choice, but it is also brave and dignified.”

She also shared with them her hopes and dreams for their future. Upstairs in the home she shares with her family are neatly wrapped Christmas and birthday gifts for her loved ones for the next year.

“She made it clear she wants me to live a good life,” Ziegler says.

In her second video, Maynard, who is an only child, said she hoped her mother does not “break down” or “suffer from any kind of depression.”

And for Diaz, “I hope he moves on and becomes a father,” she said. “There’s no part of me that wants him to live out the rest of his life just missing his wife.”

Okay, ….

First off let me say this one thing. We cannot judge anything only God knows her mind and heart.

I do not know her doctors.

What I do know is this. I was given the same information that Brittany was given. 2 years and 8 months ago.

By the grace of God, my medical providers were about hope, and possibilities. I was told we have options. Let’s try.

I have explained on previous post on this blog what  Lahey, Harvard Vanguard,  Dana Farber and my physical therapist have done and the the lengths that they went to in order to bring my miracle to its current place by God Divine Power.

I was set up for Victory. I called and The Good Shepard was there.

I can only tell you that I am grateful for my Faith, Grateful that my doctors and physical therapist knew God as well and jumped into brattle with swords drawn to defeat my GlioBlastoma Multiforme Grade 4 in operable tumor.

My death sentence resulted in a new beginning in this moment and for God’s Glory.

So this cancer is healable as is any disease that attacks us. Because we have the Creator on our side.

If and when it is my time because of the way of the cross, I will accept my struggle as a opportunity to offer it up for others and will Go when God calls me to him. He is the author of my life. Amen.

So, I say this, God bless Brittany she seemed very lovely.  We can pray for her and her family. My graces will be offered up for the repose of her soul this day. Amen.

God Bless You,

Danny

I wrote a couple of weeks ago on this blog this question, Why is God not calling people to service in his church anymore. With that I was led by the Holy Spirit to find out and I first found the gentleman below  now Fr. Chase Hilgenbrinck. God is calling people to the church. The church is being healed and rebuilt to withstand the storm that is falling on humanity now. I have faith in my church because of the beautiful men and women coming into service to join the other Holy men and women who are proclaiming and witnessing God. God is in charge and the calvary is on its way! Amen 🙂

From there I found that their are many going back into the service of the Lord from many faiths.

First Off, I would like to ask for your prayers. I have been asked to speak/ witness God in this moment of my life to a group at a church Sunday evening at 7:00 pm. I know God’s got it and he knows who will be there. But, I still get a little nervous. It is a talk about Miracles, love ,trust and God’s love for us all. Its part of a 4th day talk for the Cursillo community. Thankyou!  🙂

We are moving through Seasons again. Summer gave way to Fall and we are experiencing the changes of our surroundings, smells and  exterior temperature.

Another way that I choose to look at this Seasons change is to  make a conscious effort to allow myself to  set a plan on where I want myself to be when this Season ends. So, today being OCT 31 st , I look to Nov 1 st as my SEASON CHANGE. THIS season will run until after Christmas and the Advent Season. At that point I can come up with an evaluation as to where I find myself and access whether or not I have gotten any closer to where I want to be. More stedfast in who I am, where I am going and if I am even a hair closer to my God.

Advent: Dates, Traditions, and History

The start of the Christmas season

Advent Begins December 3

The Advent wreath is a symbol of ongoing life.

Advent is the period preceding the Christmas season. It begins on the Sunday nearest November 30, the feast day of St. Andrew the Apostle, and covers four Sundays. Because the day it begins changes from year to year, so does the length of each Advent season. In 2014, Advent begins on November 30.

The word advent, from Latin, means “the coming.” For centuries, Advent has been a time of spiritual reflection as well as cheer and anticipation. Even as the Christmas season has become more secular-with advertisers urging holiday gift-givers to buy and buy some more-Advent still brings joy and the observance of ancient customs. Christian families find quiet moments lighting candles in the Advent wreath, and children use Advent calendars to count the days until Christmas.

The History of Advent

Advent has probably been observed since the fourth century. Originally, it was a time when converts to Christianity readied themselves for baptism.

During the Middle Ages, Advent became associated with preparation for the Second Coming. In early days Advent lasted from November 11, the feast of St. Martin, until Christmas Day. Advent was considered a pre-Christmas season of Lent when Christians devoted themselves to prayer and fasting. The Orthodox Eastern Church observes a similar Lenten season, from November 15 until Christmas, rather than Advent.

Many Christians still view Advent as a season to prepare for the Second Coming of Jesus. In the last fifty years, however, it has also come to be thought of as a time of anticipating the Nativity, on Christmas Day.

Advent Wreaths

Advent wreaths have their origins in the folk traditions of northern Europe, where in the deep of winter people lit candles on wheel-shaped bundles of evergreen. Both the evergreen and the circular shape symbolized ongoing life. The candlelight gave comfort at this darkest time of the year, as people looked forward to the longer days of spring.

Later, Eastern European Christians adopted this practice. By the sixteenth century, they were making Advent wreaths much as we know them today. An advent wreath traditionally contains four candles-three purple and one rose. Purple dyes were one so rare and costly that they were associated with royalty; the Roman Catholic Churchhas long used this color around Christmas and Easter to honor Jesus. The three purple candles in the Advent wreath symbolize hope, peace, and love. These candles are lit on the first, second, and fourth Sundays of Advent. The rose candle, which symbolizes joy, is usually lit on the third Sunday.

Sometimes a fifth candle is placed inside the Advent wreath. This candle is lit on Christmas Day. It is white, the color associated with angels and the birth of Jesus.

Because Advent wreaths are an informal celebration, not all are the same. Instead of purple candles, some people use blue, which recalls the color of the night sky before daylight returns. Others use all white candles.

Advent Calendars

An advent calendar is a card or poster with twenty-four small doors, one to be opened each day from December 1 until Christmas Eve. Each door conceals a picture. This popular tradition arose in Germany in the late 1800s and soon spread throughout Europe and North America. Originally, the images in Advent calendars were derived from the Hebrew Bible.

Considered a fun way of counting down the days until Christmas, many Advent calendars today have no religious content. Now, alongside traditional Advent calendars depicting angels and biblical figures are those whose doors open to display teddy bears, pieces of chocolate, or photos of pop stars.

My Thought is this . God calls us to Seasons to help one another and for study and self improvement. He pours out the Holy Spirit upon us as needed. So, I began to think how great it will be if I dedicate myself to a different way of approaching God through my prayer life and really strip back the layers of who I am. I need to find what makes me really tick. Why I am prone to certain things that are not good, I do have on the other hand have some very good and powerful traits born out of love that have been at work all my life.  I have a peace in my heart and I do not surrender that to anyone or anything. But I believe that getting to the root of it all will allow me to confront through prayer the things that can seperate me from my ideal . My closest model of me to immitate  Christ Jesus.  You know, If God has me in this protected place from the terminal brain cancer for this moment, wouldn’t I be a fool not to dive into the water and trust him that if I swim towards him looking for answers to help me be more in tune  with myself and Heaven. I believe that  like Jesus held Peter up on the water, then I believe that  by my Faith  that Jesus  will do the same for me and you too. God loves me and you the same as St. Peter. Believe in him and he will work the Miracles in our lives. 🙂

So, look at the beautiful new month of November that we are entering as a new Season, a new opportunity to dig deeper into who we are and open yourselves up for the new day. A day where we can sit across from our loved ones and friends at our dinner tables  this Thanksgiving and Christmas and be at peace with one another. God did not intend for division from him or any other person. Unless of course they are harmful or abusive.

God is counting on us, and we are counting on God. I know God will be there. The question we need to ask is this, will we be working our way towards him ?

Just forgive  each other our trespasses as God calls us to. That  is a great start in beginning that deeper search for God in your life during the up coming Holy Advent Season. AMEN.

Our Best Friend that is with us always and is Love, is the Holy Spirit. None of us could live a life with any purpose without the gift of the Holy Spirit from God that is guiding us and allowing us to understand Gods will in every aspect of our lives. Pray and you will receive  clarity.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Spirit of wisdom and understanding, enlighten our minds to perceive the mysteries of the universe in relation to eternity. Spirit of right judgment and courage, guide us and make us firm in our baptismal decision to follow Jesus’ way of love. Spirit of knowledge and reverence, help us to see the lasting value of justice and mercy in our everyday dealings with one another. May we respect life as we work to solve problems of family and nation, economy and ecology. Spirit of God, spark our faith, hope and love into new action each day. Fill our lives with wonder and awe in your presence which penetrates all creation. Amen.OROh Holy Spirit, You are the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity. You are the Spirit of truth, love and holiness, proceeding from the Father and the Son, and equal to Them in all things. I adore You and love You with all my heart. Teach me to know and to seek God, by whom and for whom I was created. Fill my heart with a holy fear and a great love for Him. Give me compunction and patience, and do not let me fall into sin.Increase faith, hope and charity in me and bring forth in me all the virtues proper to my state of life. Help me to grow in the four cardinal virtues, Your seven gifts and Your twelve fruits.Make me a faithful follower of Jesus, an obedient child of the Church and a help to my neighbor. Give me the grace to keep the commandments and to receive the sacraments worthily. Raise me to holiness in the state of life to which You have called me, and lead me through a happy death to everlasting life. ThroughJesus Christ, our Lord.Grant me also, O Holy Spirit, Giver of all good gifts, the special favor for which I ask {name special petition}, if it be for Your honor and glory and for my well being. Amen.

OR

Breathe into me, Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. Move in me, Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. Attract my heart, Holy Spirit, that I may love only what is holy. Strengthen me, Holy Spirit, that I may defend all that is holy. Protect me, Holy Spirit, that I may always be holy.

I was watching a program on a Christian channel and they had on a women and author who had an acronym that I think is awesome.

FAITH MEANS AS AN ACRONYM,

FORSAKING ALL I TAKE HIM.

I have been here in slow motion and I decided about two months ago to accept this situation and the rate of healing that I am moving at. With my acceptance of my current life came a different type of peace.

I was thinking about my writing about the many miracles that I have witnessed. I think that today would be a good time to share another one . I was getting my radiology treatment at Brigham and Women’s and I had gone for treatment and my family brought me from radiology and we were sitting in the waiting area waiting to see my doctor A.

I was rolled into the waiting area and it was packed. I told my family just leave me here I am not in the way and said just grab seats in the room somewhere. I was left sitting in my wheelchair to the side of the center isle. The television was on and people were talking. I was just sitting there and was making eye contact with my family sitting off in a distant. There was a women sitting probably 4 rows ahead of me in the center isle and I noticed her turning her head straining to see me. She started to push her wheelchair back with her foot. You see The Holy Spirit or what I call Divine Spirit had been noticed by this beautiful women Rebecca. As she backed up to get to me she knocked someone’s crutches over, she had her eyes turned and locked on mine as he made her way backward the 10 to 12 feet to get to me. I  then made eye contact with my family they were engaged and were watching the scene unfold before their eyes.

Rebecca got to me and she turned and her chair and ended up slightly in front of my chair on  an angle. I was able to see her face.

Normally, I would say hello and introduce my self but in that moment I became the passenger on the bus and watched God in action this was about Rebecca and I was l learning that anything was possible through God.

We sat there for a second or two and she was looked into my eyes and said hello. The response from the Holy Spirit was hi. Again, a small pause and she gave me a soft smile. Rebecca said to me have you ever had the smoothies here? I said no. She asked are you staying in the hospital ? I said no, I told her I was getting out patient care. She told me that she had been in the hospital and was in outpatient care for treatment. How God ministered to her through me was breathtaking.

As I have said before I have a naturally strong voice so anything that was being said was meant for everyone in that room. They heard it all and emotions were showing and I could feel the weight of the stares of others. God allowed Rebecca to carry the conversation drawing her out. She asked what kind of cancer I had and I responded brain cancer. Then out of my mouth came what type of cancer do you have? Her response with sorrow and tears was lung cancer and I never smoked. God was just breathe taking. The whole room was locked onto our conversation. Out of my mouth came Rebecca, I am sorry. Her eyes were locked onto mine. The Holy Spirit of God said it is hard for you. She replied yes. I said you were the doer for everyone and she said yes. I said, I understand. Then out of my mouth came that I am going through the same thing, that in life we need to accept what’s going on and allow others to do for us. I told her how much God loves her and us all . I Said, God’s got you and you will be fine. I looked and a women at the far end of the room was staring at us and crying. With that my brother got up and asked me if I wanted a snack. And Rebecca’s sister arrived back to stay with her. My brother brought the snack basket that the hospital supplied to Rebecca and others who could not get up. That’s my big brother 🙂

It was now my time to see the radiology oncologist. So, as I rolled out of the room, the whole room got a very vibrant God Bless You. Many responded back the same. God is all about hope, joy and comfort. We need to turn to him no matter what.

I often wonder how she is,  I never saw her again. The one thing I do know is that Gods got her.

I’ll Go Send Me. CECe Winans

God Bless You,

Danny

I cannot imagine a time in my life that I have ever thought that the world needed to go to our Blessed Mother for comfort and ask her to work as our advocate for our needs and protection more. To bring to her son Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior our prayers and needs to ask him to pour his Mercy out upon us all in this world.

Please pray for M D who passed this week. God Bless her and her family.

Holy Mother Lyrics

from 50 Greatest Tracks

“Holy Mother” is track #44 on the album 50 Greatest Tracks. It was written by Clapton, Eric Patrick/bishop, Stephen.

Eric Clapton:
Holy Mother, where are you?
Tonight I feel broken in two.
I’ve seen the stars fall from the sky.
Holy mother, can’t keep from crying.

Oh I need your help this time,
Get me through this lonely night.
Tell me please which way to turn
To find myself again.

Holy mother, hear my prayer,
Somehow I know you’re still there.
Send me please some peace of mind;
Take away this pain.

I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait any longer.
I can’t wait, I can’t wait, I can’t wait for you.

Luciano Pavarotti:
Holy mother, hear my cry,
I’ve cursed your name a thousand times.
I’ve felt the anger running through my soul;
All I need is a hand to hold.

Oh I feel the end has come,
No longer my legs will run.
You know I would rather be
In your arms tonight.

Eric Clapton:
When my hands no longer play,

Luciano Pavarotti:
My voice is still, I fade away.

Both:
Holy mother, then I’ll be

Eric Clapton:
Lying in,

Luciano Pavarotti:
safe within your

Both:
arms.

Luciano Pavarotti:
Holy mother, hear my cry!
(Holy mother, hear my cry!)
Holy mother, hear my cry!
(Holy mother, hear my cry!)
Holy mother, hear my cry!
(Holy mother, hear my cry!)
Holy mother, hear my cry!

You know there is an old expression that I have heard,  “In every life some rain must fall”. Without the rain and trials of life we would not be growing and learning so many different life lessons. I think that the lessons that I have personally learned thus far are the most important. Because, by ourselves it is easy to be me centered, me oriented, me focused on every aspect of life. Generally speaking through God’s Miracle of birth we all arrive on the scene by ourselves from the safety of our mothers wombs.

And then everything we learn, eating, crawling, standing, speaking etc are learned and used by us to be independent of everyone. Our parents are charged with the responsibility of protecting us, feeding, clothing and helping their children to see their God given gifts, assisting in their education, the most important of which is Faith in my opinion. And being a kind and compassionate member of society on many different  levels and aspects.God did not design us to be self absorbed, he intends us to be a generous benefactor giving our time, service and gifts to others to bring The kingdom Of God to life on Earth.

Teach The Children wells Crosby Stills

And  when we are ready and have learned our life lessons we are on our own, the masters of our own destinies.

But we need to strike a balance in this life.

What it comes down to is this, in my opinion.. While we are out persuing who we are to become what happened to me personally  was my Faith was at odds with my drive to succeed at what God had show me as my lifes work. My work was also a ministry of sorts, I loved my clients /friends and my employees. I yearned for the simplicity of Being with God, With family, with friends and helping any one along my road that I could. I needed to learn that I had to watch to make sure that the worldly stuff did not invade every area of my life. God and service could not be put on hold. So, I was busy juggling work, family, faith friends and charitable endeavors. But I was young and why shouldn’t I or my wife sacrafice ? To whom much is given much is expected.

I am sitting here with a monsoon outside today 🙂  LOL It is still beautiful to look out and see God’s nature at work.

I thank God that when I was physically able back in the day that I did every single thing that I could do for another that needed it while I could. My wife and I never left one brother or Sister behind. Praise God that I/ we listened when I/ we were called. If I had not who knows if God would have heard me in my moment of need.

Remember The Lords Words… What You Do For Your Brother, You Have Done For Me. Amen!

“Thank You Lord ” ( for the trials that come my way ) with lyrics

My lifes ups and downs are mine just as yours are yours. It is when we are in our lowest possible points in life that we truely become the most generous, the most loving and the most compassionate. God stetches you to become more. We gain an understanding of something that we were blind to. It is like fasting and prayer through fasting, we receive additional graces that allow us to learn a different type of teaching through The Holy Spirit. Where we get what God is saying without the wondering. We own it.

I honesty hope to soon be out in front of the Blessed Sacrament at my church asking Jesus through prayer to answer my and your needs, to see my dad more, to visit the nursing home once again to say hello and let them know that they still count.

I just found where that old saying comes from….. Below.

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
The vine still clings to the moldering wall,
But at every gust the dead leaves fall,
And the day is dark and dreary.

My life is cold, and dark, and dreary;
It rains, and the wind is never weary;
My thoughts still cling to the moldering Past,
But the hopes of youth fall thick in the blast
And the days are dark and dreary.

Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate is the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary.
