In The Moment, Cancer and fatigue.

This morning I got up bright eyed and bushy tailed as my mom used to say and decided to do some investigation on fatigue in cancer patients such as myself.

My doctor told me it would take a long time for my energy to rebound  after my treatment. The physical therapists told me to go at life but do not over due because their is a lot of the brain that is working overtime to get the whole body functioning once again. It is creating new pathways from new brain cells back to my left side.

So, I stopped doing the obsurd things of pushing my body to the brink and throttled back. I was pushing my body , mind and Spirit to the max to heal so  that I could get back out into the world to help pay for life/family expenses, to contribute to those that I used to help and for those that need help. For those that I have yet to meet. I again was living on Danny’s time frame which was stupid.

My stubborness and pushing caused me to do some very unsafe things, plus it set me up for failure because I ended up with sciatic nerve pain, and tendonitis  of my good arm.

Both these conditions have finally healed Praise God.

It is a real reminder of who I am at the core. I want it all. But, you know God wants the best for us and HE  will do his work in me and in you when it is time by his measure only. Where I am today is exactly where he wants me. God wants me to just look to Heaven and wait on him. During this wait time he does not expect me to be just sitting and watching HBO either. We need to reach out to help one another to what ever capacity that we can. God knows my ability far better than I do, he knows what every cell in my body is doing right now. He wants us to subordinate all to him.

Part of my belly acheing is the fact that the energy runs high and low. I have had to learn to pace myself. If I go out for dinner for 4-5 hours and there  is walking and stairs involved then, I could spend the next two days on the chair tired and napping.

I have now read so much on the issue that I understand that it is part of the cancer story.

What cancer does and what the Chemo and radiation does to the body requires a long time for the body to rebound and recover from in a real way.

So, life is good. And, if you are wondering why you are tired after cancer treatment or any illness for that matter. look into it with your Dr. and search out others in your boat. It is a comfort to see others pulling through the same life situation.

God’s got us in every moment. Amen.

I am sitting here today in my chair looking out onto God’s creation and my large beech tree. The sky is milky white, there is a soft breeze moving the huge canopy of gorgeous leaves. The colors of the leaves are deep red, golden yellow and green. The squirrels are on its beaches getting the beech nuts to store for winter.

It is a beautiful thing to behold from where God’s got me in this moment. My wife and I were invited out for dinner last night to a friends home. I did not realise how much my wife and I needed this until I was there. We have been friends praise God for 20 plus years with this couple and they have traveled a similar road as us. They are part of the Cursillo community we lived our retreats at the same time in 1999 and they are very stable in their faith walk with God.

They are busy with work ,children and ageing parents and relatives but you know what,  they get it done by God’s grace and are creating beauty not letting life create havoc.

Last night was just what God prescribed for all 4 of us. They are what God called us to be the salt and light to everyone, and they are.

“The Divine Spirit”. I have been wondering when this subject would come to the table. When I finally decided to answer the call to write this blog I thought that this subject (Divine Spirit ) would begin my writings, but the blog writings did not start that way at all.  I am honored and grateful to be alive in this moment. The mercy that God has extended to me in this moment is something that I could never be able to understand or comprehend. But it serves a purpose in God’s plan. This is a season in my life that I am witnessing God’s supreme power. I see God in action in others lives and have been called to witness God to others through my life walk.

I never could exactly say how this worked, or what to call it but, I began to call what I have witnessed as the workings of The Divine Holy Spirit. I will begin to write about these very special events.

After my diagnosis, I began witnessing a presence that was emenating from my person that was far greater than me. This Divine Spirit was ministering to people, total strangers ,dealing with non believers and God made them believers in minutes. I had one doctor who was a non believer as I quicky found out. This doctor walked into the exam room this day and I began witnessing my story and once I said the word God, she was turned off. It is something that you cannot miss once you have experienced it. It definately made me feel a bit uncomfortable. My brother was there as well as a nurse R. I was sitting in the wheelchair. She took a posture on the table looking down on me sitting with one leg off the floor and one on the floor. She was so done with me, right away. I felt the HolySpirit in me Rise. Se said I heard about you and was like rolling her eyes, she looked across the room where this nurse R was sitting and at that point God decided thats enough and I addressed her.  I sat there and witnesses God changing her life hopefully forever, but who knows ? People can be stubborn. God had me address her.  Okay God wants to show you something and I said, but I need you to know the whole truth about my case and God. She stopped me and said show me and I said no, your not listening to God. She looked so frustrated. After a minute I heard in my head show her. So, I said wait a minute God just told me to show you. Her eyes got wide and I stood up out of the wheelchair and said Praise Jesus both my arms lifted towards the  ceiling and Heavens. You see that was medically impossible because my whole left side was laid waste by the cancer and treatment. Yet God did it. She thought I was dead man walking, she did not say it , but I knew that she thought it. God knew that day that I would be there and so would she. I gave her my primary doctors name and number and told her of my Miracle healing of my shoulder and knee in Dec, 2010 I Said call him and he will confirm this. She ran out of the room. I told one of my regular doctors and they knew who she was and laughed. But knew how unprofessional that was. I met her only once but, that is all that God needed. He reached her.

That day was not about me, that day was about that lovely Dr.  who did not believe that God was part of her/ our lives.

God makes us all extraordinary creatures, each one of us is created in the image of his son Jesus Christ. We are Blessed with gift of the Holy Spirit. We have his breathe sustaining our lives, and his love harkening are hearts back to him. He loves us completely and if you try to live for him he will allow you to become more of a blessing from Heaven to others. Which, in all honesty is a wonderful thing for us because not only are we blessing others by God’s grace but we are securing our place at the table of the Lord.

As a follow up to the Whitney Houston Post from last week.

We have Elvis Presley another artist that passed too quickly. He was so deeply rooted in his faith and you can see by his demise in later years that drugs and alcohol took a toll on him he was only 42. Sometimes we look at other peoples lives and think the grass is a little greener but the reality is that with much wealth comes much responsibility. And if the wrong people are around because of the available finances they can crash you into the rocks.

Elvis was a very good man and had a tremendous God Given gift.

If you look at the post from Sept 23 it has the videos for Delores Hart who is a nun and was Hollywood’s highest paid Starlet. She gave Elvis his first on screen kiss. On the video links on Sr. Delores Hart say’s that what stayed with her and always will is what a wonderful and innocent man Elvis was.

The gifts that this lovely lady has really make you realize how important a connection to oneanother is. The elderly can become invisible to so many of us.

At a quick look, one would never think that this person would  be so accomplished, but God is in everyone of us. And thats why we cannot judge a book by its cover. 🙂

So, I say God Bless Her !  and Thanks 🙂

 I have mentioned in the past on my posts  that we have the gift of the Holy Spirit that resides within us to help us and to guide us during our lives here.

One very important aspect that we have to consider is what we expose our selves to. Our Eyes and ears are under an assault from all that is happening in our world.

The television, shock jocks on the radio, some of the movies  and rediculous commercials that are practically x rated. The  Launguage, is terrible.

You know, I am no prude.

But alot of what is going on is so immoral.

Over the years and when something would come on that was off color in one way or the other, I would say our kids are around and they should not see this stuff.

People do not realise what they are exposing themselves to. All kinds of spiritual mumbo jumbo and toil.

Back in the day, I use to watch some stuff on tv that my mom and dad would say was nonsence. Shut it off. But, my generation was not parked on a couch  with a tv and 400 stations either. Add to this situation now all the different devices that are out there that allow people  to stay connected and watch shows anywhere, anytime.

 

I am far from perfect. But, now I get a visceral responce if someting is on , tv, music, even nonsence talk about others whatever. I am a pro now at dealing with this circumstance, I just get up and seperate myself from that situation. 

I do not judge, but this junk is not for me. It doesn’t enhance my mind, spirit or intellect.

If the Holy Spirit that resides in me was not in a place where I did not fill my mind with horror stories, sex and profanity then I could not have taken on the cancer diagnosis the way that God allowed me to. I spiritually would not have been prepared. I was filled with my desire for God so there was no room for junk.

Like the food that we eat for our bodies effects our physical health so too is that true for what we take in through our ears ,eyes, and actions. They can all be an affront to us Spiritually and mentally. And if we are listening to our Holy Sprit( voice within ) then we would know this. We get convincted.

You know, If you look you can find good stuff that is funny. One night I was at a friends and he said hey this guy is on and he is a riot. So, I sat down and he put it on and within 5 minutes he was laughing and I did not get it. There were too many F bombs coming. So, he finally asked me as I was getting out of the chair to leave the room and I just said its not for me.

I always think what would Jesus do?

I just know that Jesus would not sit there either.

Miracles Are From Who? And Whitney

 You know, in the last two plus years people have said, Wow, you are a Miracle! They say well its because of your positive thoughts and attitude.
I always smile, point up, and say its God.
I will say this though,  in my opinion…
I believe that God does have a healing mechanism that is in our bodies that can help us.
But, God/ Jesus Christ  is  responcible for any healing that we have.
Yes, God gave me a peaceful Spirit around 3 years ago which absolutely took all fear and stress from me surrounding the illness that I have never owned.
I am at peace so I believe my body, mind and Spirit could heal. In my old Danny state fear and worry would probably have crushed me. I am not particularly brave. I just feel protected , safe and loved by my God.
The bottom line is this , all my praise and credit  for being such a Miracle lies in one place , With God. Eventually, I will die and then, All my Honor and Praise will Go to Jesus in Calvary where he took death away and gave me the eternal treasure of Heaven. Amen.
Heaven can be yours too. Just reach for God and work towards it with your personal relationship. Become best friends with God your Father. 🙂

      You Know, In this life we meet so many people while they are witnessing their God given gifts to us.

      Singers, actors, writers,Priest,Nuns,Clergy and peoples of all types who are servants to others etc. Some are called royalty, stars, etc. We get to know them without ever meeting them. No matter what generation they came from the constant things that united them with us was that they were all pilgrams like us of many different faiths that were under the attack of evil. There life stories were full of this life pressures like ours but I think to a higher degree because of their wealth. Their lives are/were  played out for the world to see on a stage. 

      I will be high lighting a few of these wonderful people who touched our lives on this blog now and again.

      This is Whitney Houstons song. She was attempting a comeback trying to fight off the drugs and alcohol that plagued her life. She had worked with a voice coach to help repair her damaged voice. She was perfect in her imperfection. Like us all she fought the best she could and in the end found the joy of God and reaching for him to be her only comfort Amen.

      She died tragically right after this video was shot from drug and alcohol overdose.

      I always have said that I thanked God that I never had the addictions of drugs and alcohol. ,  At points in my life food was my drug of choice.  But, no longer Praise God.

      She was a faithful , christian women. She was struggling but as you will see was reaching up to God still. All Praise was God’s Amen.

      God Bless Her, I know she is with the Lord. She was a Miracle to many. Like me/you, she too was only human.

When lightening Strikes Me.

Coming off of the writing on the Spooky emails. I have had 2 days of prayer and reflection on the whole situation once again. When I felt that I needed to write about this experience on my life journey,I envisioned having to pour out every fact to that event. It went on for a while and it would have been a pain in the neck.

As I began the writing through prayer, I had to descern where to go and how far with it’s detail. I honesty had no interest in writing on it but realized again in was not my choice and God wanted it. I felt peace as I wrote.

God as usual was good and just as I hunkered down and committed myself to get it done during the 3 rd part of the spooky writing I knew right away that the graphic description of this long event was not what this writing  was all about. God wanted to show people through my life experience what can happen when we are angy , broken and in despair. That satan will raise havock with us. I will tell you emotion can be a very bad thing we make bad descisions when our emotions are running a muck and satan gets a grip on you. He lies to us and we act out in anger. It is heck on earth.

And, it  did unfortunately happen to me and my family had to deal with those repercussions back in the 90’s.

Also another fact , This situation was necessary for me to be here in this moment. It is part of who I and my family are today. We know evil exists which cautified our relationship with God in a very Special way. Amen.

I came across this song and it fits my situation at that time of my young life. I was steeming ahead hurt and angry after my sons loss and was not listening to God. I just wanted answers WHY! those answers sometimes take years to get.

One of my loved one’s said People might think this is crazy. my response was this. Did it happen? they said yes. So, I said the truth needs to be said because Gods got me here in this second.He wants it done so, I will do it. If people do not understand or believe then, thats okay. It does not make my /our life story any less true.

This could have been my song to God back then, lightening struck me and I did not know what to do.

The moment when my 2nd son Brad went to God, was the most bitter life experience that both my wife and I had ever had.
