This is just beautiful, This is from a movie worth watching, August Rush. The point is that music has been a gift to us all. It defines periods of our lives many joyful others painful none the less they make us who we are today. We need to look for good positive things for our minds and the Holy Spirit to embrace during our day’s. I find that I need to ask so God, Whats today about ? Then I pray on it. It does not have to be long and aloborate. it just needs to be heartfelt and he will answer.

Like I always say sometimes we need silence but we also need the joy of good music to inspire us and to sooth us.

My Wife and I took my son to see this production in Boston years ago. It was Donny Osmonds last performance. He became racked with fear and could not continue the tour. They said he had a knee injury but years later he admitted that he needed to step away from his career the fear on stage was crippling him.

Again, he is human like us and for him, he was treated and is back on stage and behind the camera.

It was a beautiful story brought to life before our eyes.

My son always remembers that particular event . It was Special memory for us to share and when we hear the songs its lifts the Spirit and heals us . Amen !

As a follow up to the Whitney Houston Post from last week.

We have Elvis Presley another artist that passed too quickly. He was so deeply rooted in his faith and you can see by his demise in later years that drugs and alcohol took a toll on him he was only 42. Sometimes we look at other peoples lives and think the grass is a little greener but the reality is that with much wealth comes much responsibility. And if the wrong people are around because of the available finances they can crash you into the rocks.

Elvis was a very good man and had a tremendous God Given gift.

If you look at the post from Sept 23 it has the videos for Delores Hart who is a nun and was Hollywood’s highest paid Starlet. She gave Elvis his first on screen kiss. On the video links on Sr. Delores Hart say’s that what stayed with her and always will is what a wonderful and innocent man Elvis was.

The gifts that this lovely lady has really make you realize how important a connection to oneanother is. The elderly can become invisible to so many of us.

At a quick look, one would never think that this person would  be so accomplished, but God is in everyone of us. And thats why we cannot judge a book by its cover. 🙂

So, I say God Bless Her !  and Thanks 🙂

Pray that her box of offerings overflows 🙂

Differing Opinions. Prayer Needed.

Here is an interesting story of a lovely young women who a has terminal brain cancer such as what I was diagnosed with  2.8 years  ago. I too had a very short window of life expectancy as well.

My writing today is not to confront her on her choice but rather to try and see where it comes from.I understand that she does not want to suffer, who does?

Okay, after watching this beautiful womens video I think that she is personally a very brave person. I wonder where her faith lies, or if that is part of her life.

Having been in the same seat that she is currently in ,I will say this God ‘s peace and healing was given to me during this time. I am around 2.7 or so years out from my diagnosis day and feel great.

In my case where there is life, there is hope. And when our personal hope for quality of life ends than I will still hope for a beautiful eternal life with Christ.

When I first heard those words inoperable Gleo Blastoma Multiforme grade 4. I was not deterred from doing anything that could potentially safe my life. I said okay lets see what they can do with this, God’s got it.

I got as she  mentioned very large from the steriod and had all of the meds,chemo and radiation etc. So, I understand that on a personal level. That pain is not fun.

Suffering :

My faith has tought me that suffering has a purpose, I do not like it either and I am sure Jesus did not relish his crusifiction either. But his sacrafice was for us to learn and  to be saved.

I have learned during my journey here and witnessed people on their death beds and what they are dealing with. I have seen the effects on their families too. I have seen families and relationship healed and years of crap was gone. I saw children and families grow in strength through the process and I have seen the ill person, calm as they came closer because they too were healing their minds and souls. They accepted the situation. We all go through it, thats for sure.

What ever sufferings that I have had are brought to the cross and my graces I offer up for others. I will offer up mine for Brittany and family as well.

Her mom mentioned a word autonomous while describing here daughter. The definition is below.

From what I have read and seen on this video, I have to assume that this life holds her treasure. Again, I sincerely mean this, Brittany Morgan has her God given right to do as she believes. It is called free will.
The way I look at this story is this, God wanted me to see this today 
because I do not know how Brittany and her family feel about faith and God. It could be that Brittany was never exposed to God, Who really knows. How can we help ? I do have an option as do you .
We need to pray for her and her family. They look like such wondeful people. I know that Gods going to meet her too when her journey is complete. I know God loves her the same as he loves me.
She plans on ending her life next month Nov to end the pain.
So lets  pray from healing for Brittany such as I have had in this moment.
Remember healing comes in different forms, physical, psychological, Spiritual and emotional. God knows our needs. We just need to pray.
It is the time of Miracles!  Amen

 I have mentioned in the past on my posts  that we have the gift of the Holy Spirit that resides within us to help us and to guide us during our lives here.

One very important aspect that we have to consider is what we expose our selves to. Our Eyes and ears are under an assault from all that is happening in our world.

The television, shock jocks on the radio, some of the movies  and rediculous commercials that are practically x rated. The  Launguage, is terrible.

You know, I am no prude.

But alot of what is going on is so immoral.

Over the years and when something would come on that was off color in one way or the other, I would say our kids are around and they should not see this stuff.

People do not realise what they are exposing themselves to. All kinds of spiritual mumbo jumbo and toil.

Back in the day, I use to watch some stuff on tv that my mom and dad would say was nonsence. Shut it off. But, my generation was not parked on a couch  with a tv and 400 stations either. Add to this situation now all the different devices that are out there that allow people  to stay connected and watch shows anywhere, anytime.

 

I am far from perfect. But, now I get a visceral responce if someting is on , tv, music, even nonsence talk about others whatever. I am a pro now at dealing with this circumstance, I just get up and seperate myself from that situation. 

I do not judge, but this junk is not for me. It doesn’t enhance my mind, spirit or intellect.

If the Holy Spirit that resides in me was not in a place where I did not fill my mind with horror stories, sex and profanity then I could not have taken on the cancer diagnosis the way that God allowed me to. I spiritually would not have been prepared. I was filled with my desire for God so there was no room for junk.

Like the food that we eat for our bodies effects our physical health so too is that true for what we take in through our ears ,eyes, and actions. They can all be an affront to us Spiritually and mentally. And if we are listening to our Holy Sprit( voice within ) then we would know this. We get convincted.

You know, If you look you can find good stuff that is funny. One night I was at a friends and he said hey this guy is on and he is a riot. So, I sat down and he put it on and within 5 minutes he was laughing and I did not get it. There were too many F bombs coming. So, he finally asked me as I was getting out of the chair to leave the room and I just said its not for me.

I always think what would Jesus do?

I just know that Jesus would not sit there either.

Coming off of the writing on the Spooky emails. I have had 2 days of prayer and reflection on the whole situation once again. When I felt that I needed to write about this experience on my life journey,I envisioned having to pour out every fact to that event. It went on for a while and it would have been a pain in the neck.

As I began the writing through prayer, I had to descern where to go and how far with it’s detail. I honesty had no interest in writing on it but realized again in was not my choice and God wanted it. I felt peace as I wrote.

God as usual was good and just as I hunkered down and committed myself to get it done during the 3 rd part of the spooky writing I knew right away that the graphic description of this long event was not what this writing  was all about. God wanted to show people through my life experience what can happen when we are angy , broken and in despair. That satan will raise havock with us. I will tell you emotion can be a very bad thing we make bad descisions when our emotions are running a muck and satan gets a grip on you. He lies to us and we act out in anger. It is heck on earth.

And, it  did unfortunately happen to me and my family had to deal with those repercussions back in the 90’s.

Also another fact , This situation was necessary for me to be here in this moment. It is part of who I and my family are today. We know evil exists which cautified our relationship with God in a very Special way. Amen.

I came across this song and it fits my situation at that time of my young life. I was steeming ahead hurt and angry after my sons loss and was not listening to God. I just wanted answers WHY! those answers sometimes take years to get.

One of my loved one’s said People might think this is crazy. my response was this. Did it happen? they said yes. So, I said the truth needs to be said because Gods got me here in this second.He wants it done so, I will do it. If people do not understand or believe then, thats okay. It does not make my /our life story any less true.

This could have been my song to God back then, lightening struck me and I did not know what to do.

The moment when my 2nd son Brad went to God, was the most bitter life experience that both my wife and I had ever had.

My childhood was very Catholic but you know we are all subject to the culture , music, movies, television and the media slant of that time. We become a little more of this world in that process. Some cultural aspects are driven home to us and that’s when our foundations become so important. All of our mom’s ,dad’s , grandparents teaching to us since birth is critical to us.

Well, my generation was no different. This downward  spiral continues on so many fronts today as well. I remember my grandmother talking about how stuff had changed in her day.  My parents have seen it too.

We want our kids to have a good life and retain their God given freedoms, I worry just as they did, that things are going to be very tough on us and our children even in the U.S. in the future.

Paradise was lost in the Garden Of Eden, and what we were left with is a imperfect world. This world and society in my estimation is in a very volital and fragile state.

 

How the nightmare that I created ended…

I was scared staight by the Evil and then I saw God more clearly.

DAY BY DAY (And With Each Passing Moment)

In the end of the 90’s my wife and I attended a retreat house St. Basil’s in Methuen for a Cursillo and it was just incredible.

While I was there they had a box for the priests and the deacons. In this box you could drop your name into the box to speak with one of them. After lunch a Deacon J. M. came to find me. I had already seen a priest for confession. I just wanted to talk to a Deacon.

So, the Deacon greeted me and we went in and sat in a small office. I began to tell him what had happened to me and what I had brought onto myself and my family.

At this time also, I had moved from Belmont  to a home that we had purchsed in late 1992, we had no problems there.

God called me that day to see this Deacon for sure psalm #139.

We prayed a Hail Mary and Our Father.

He asked me everything that happened and I told him. I said I have always been open to the Spiritual world and found myself in trouble.

He stood up walked behind me and said just relax and he began to pray over me and after a few minutes he gently touch the top of my head and a very soft electrical feeling when from my head to my toes. I said wow, what was that ? He said, Jesus just healed you completely from anything that was not of God. I could feel the lightness of my mind and Holy Spirit. 🙂

My focus was then turned to only God, Jesus Christ and Heaven. My life has been so good since that intersection of my life. You see, The apartment in Belmont was not haunted, I guess, I was because of my rebellion against my Creator.

 

By my personal growth through this terrible experience God has taken that mess and used me as a witness in this time for him. God is not about one person. He is about every living person Amen !!

Evil does not have a foot stool in my home or body. Jesus is filling us to capacity. Amen

This Post is truely a serious subject to me. Let me frame this situation up to the best of my ability. It will take more than one writing, that is for sure. But it is true, it contains the Shrine in Boston, A priest and my landlord. A spiritualist came to my apartment too. Life was scary thats for sure! This event took place around 26 years ago while my wife and I were renting a beautiful apartment in Belmont.

Life was beautiful my wife and I were engaged and we rented an apartment in Belmont. One of my clients was a realtor and she had this listing. It was a beauty.

WE did not live there until we got married. We would not have but the landlord told us that we could not anyway, they did not go for that stuff.  We just bought stuff mainly 2-3rd hand who cares. 🙂 and furnished the place.We earned our pay and liked to save for the proverbial rainy day. We were wed and moved into our apartment together. Married life began. My wife and I had our first son D. My wife worked nights 6pm and arrived home by 2 :30 a.m. I left for work at around 7:00 a.m. so my wife was on duty at that moment.  Things were very good at the apartment for the three of us. Our landlords were old school and very family oriented. We loved them.

My wife and I were expecting our second son Brad Michael and he was found to be ill and my wife also went into labor and was put on bedrest.  I spoke about this on the July 29th blog entry.

Well, my son Brad Michael passed away and the day after his burial we moved home to Belmont after 6 months of living with my parents.

Life was very bitter, and we were angry with God as many people would be. It is not God’s plan for children to die, it was brought on by original sin. I  was also at this this time in search of my faith and even though I had been attending church I started a boycott on God. I was lashing out and getting revenge on God, how stupid ! I left God just when I needed him most. My wife was so devestated that she kept praying and crying. I will continue this, I can only go so far with each writing, what spiritural stuff that I brought upon my family was horrific. I tried  to tell Fr. R about them years ago, and just could not. It was an open wound still, to me. Like I wrote in a past blog we need to be careful what we expose ourselves to. Evil is for real !!!!!!

This song is very good, I walked away from God in anger and hurt. I left him , but he never left me.
